kids @ work

Here are my students at Nowon Interactive Spoken English [NISE]

TO give you an idea how I conduct the class, here are some screen shots of my class:

"unlimited surfing"

Dati kasi, nung sa Phone and Talk ako, walang net. As in blocked lahat ng website maliban dun sa ginagamit namen site na work related.
So ayun, nagtyaga ako dun for like 10 months.

Pero, not all the moments I spent there were sad ones. Meron din nmn mga unexpected happy moments.
Like kapag system down. Panu kasi, walang call. As in! At eto pa, nagkakaron kamen ng internet.

FACT:
Yup, you read it right. Our server is located in Seoul.

to continue...

Kapag system down lang ngyayari yun..

Actually people in the office have given the chance to be transferred to the new department/account. Ako nga voluntary eh. Ayaw din kasi nmn nila.

So what is good about the new account? Nakikita ko mga students ko.
Yup, i can see them and I can tell whether they are interested or not.
On the other hand, mahirap humarap sa kamera. Limited ang emotions.
Dapat, laging SMILE and perky and upbeat and animated para di ma bore ang mga koreans.

At syempre, since 8hours ang trabaho, nakakaubos ng energy most especially kapag bobo ang kausap mo. Tama! Hindi lahat magagaling. Hindi lahat marunong umintindi. Comprehension wise? not all of them can comprehend. Pramis! Tapos yes or no na lang ang tanong, di pa ma gets! Ang sarap talga sumigaw during class time kaya lang my acts are limited already because my students can see me on cam.

But lately, siguro kung tutuusin, ive been here for like 2 months now.

Im sure, dumaan ka din sa point of giving up the job but must not do it for the sake of living.
So ngayon, eto and I turned one year dito sa work ko ngayon. So far, I have one big achievement ~ naging TEACHER OF THE MONTH ako for the month of APRIL. hehehe
astig!!!!!!

Crime Scene

Last week, I witnessed a crime while I was in the bus.
I was on my way home at around 12:30am. The bus stopped along Edsa Munoz, in front of Mcdonalds. The bus stayed there for a several minutes and while waiting for passengers, I looked outside the window to observe, just to observe the people.
There was this one fat woman standing in front of Jolibee. She's not the only one waiting there actually, there were many people walking, some were selling something. Then while this fat woman is looking for a taxi or a bus maybe, she's holding her bag a little tightly on her right shoulder.
Suddenly, 2 men riding a motorcycle came from nowhere. The second man took the bag from this fat woman with all force. The incident happened so quickly. The bag was taken from the woman. The woman tried to run after the motorcycle. I was not sure if the woman shouted but it seemed nobody noticed what really happened to her until she cried and was really in state of panic mode. People noticed her and as I can tell from where I was seated, she begun telling what happened.
I was not sure if there were people or some kind taxi driver who chased the snatcher.
On the other side of the road was a police car, and perhaps, there were policemen there. They did not know anything. Until then, the bus I was riding in moved and proceed. The policemen tried to follow where these snatchers went to but one thing was sure then, they wont be able to catch them. First, they were wearing helmet so their faces where covered. Last, the motorcycle does not have a plate number except for the word unregistered at its back.
Poor woman, I wonder how she went back home. Everything was taken from her. I hoped then that there would be kind people who helped her.

Upon seeing the crime, i felt nervous. I had a lot of what if's.. What if I was in the woman's shoes. what if that happened to.. what if.. what if..
I was just paranoid as I had one bad memorable experience somehow related to what happened to her.

Anyway, it was over, I was able to get back home safely. I have forgotten that incident actually but I tried to remember as I want to share it to you guys.

Please be safe always.
When waiting for a bus, a taxi or jeepney, please secure your belongings.
Dont put everything in your bag.
Put some money in your pocket.
Take good care of yourself.
Be sensitive and observant.

Chillax!
