Philippines has the longest time of celebrating Christmas all over the world. September pa lang, you can see people starting to decorate their house in preparation for Christmas. Most common decorations are Christmas lights, lanterns, Christmas trees and other stuff. Christmas season ends on January 6th. People believed that January 6th was the time when the three wise men found baby Jesus with his mother Mary.
What happened on this year's Christmas?...
...Well, I actually welcomed Christmas day while riding at the bus going home from work. You might think that it was sad, well, you're right. I felt so sad but then I said to myself that I was not alone. I was not the only person in the bus so at least we were many.. hahaha..
Christmas, they say, is for children. So traditionaly, children go to their grandparents house or even to their godfather and godmother [ninong and ninang] to give respect and to greet them. Along side with the greetings is the hope of getting gifts from them either whether it be cash or a present. Whatever you give to the children big or small, it is special to them.
So far, I only have four ni-aanak [godchildren]. Today, three of them visited my house. I was not able to take the picture of the other one but here are two pictures of them.

My mother just cooked spag and ham today. So those were the good we shared together.
After lunch time, we headed to my grandmother's house [mother side]. There, we spent the rest of the day. It was a long while since I last visited my grandparent's house so I felt really good to see them. I remember my grandmother always tell to everyone she see that she was the one who took care of me when I was still a kid. She's really proud of me. ehehe.. grandma's boy..
This is my grandma and my mother...
So there, we brought some food that my mom cooked and we ate together..
We took some rest and did some talks with other relatives we last saw for quite a while. We took some crazy pictures on the hill. I called my nephews and niece to pose there and do some wacky styles.... very funny...
Yeah! It was fun for real! We enjoyed taking pictures on the top of the hill. It's good to know that my pamangkins are masunurin.. Kasi when I told them to do this and that, they follow me. Kaya if you check the pictures, ang kukulit ng dating. Just check my facebook account for more pictures about this event.
There was also a drinking session with older brother and some relatives. I just took two shoots of redhorse. It was kinda strong for me and the shot glass is not the common one. Its a glass already, I mean kinda big glass. So after two shots I left the drinking session and went somewhere else to escape. I did not wanna be drunk so I did that, found ways to escape from them.
We also went to Tita Oya's house after. There, we met tito larry and their two sons. They were good looking and tall men. We ate spag, macaroni salad, ham and bread and soda. Tito Larry took us home using his car. [wow! totyal]
30mins later after we arrived home, I ate again, this time I just wanted to eat a half cup of rice and ham. So there,, I ate too much today. It was like one week of my meal. But no regrets. Today was full of fun.
Happy Birthday to Jesus! It is because of HIM why we celebrate CHRISTmas. May we not forget the real meaning of celebrating this season. It's time to give back all the praise, glory and honor to our creator..
Time to sleep ~~~~
Peace be with you and let's spread the love....
